Having a less than ideal smile can have a major effect on your confidence. Read on to see how Cosmetic Dentistry can help and what treatments we offer in our Singapore clinic.

Studies show that an unsightly smile can not affect your own confidence, but also how you are perceived by other people such as friends or potential employers. Thankfully, there are plenty of treatments available to give you the perfect smile you’ve always wanted. At Pure NZ Dental, we will always carry out a full assessment first to ensure that the treatment offered is suitable for you.

Whitening/Bleaching

This treatment is designed to improve the colour of your teeth. This is done by applying whitening gels to your teeth which can be done in our clinic over two hours, or at home by using custom-made whitening trays. The main benefit of this treatment is that apart from a little sensitivity, there are no reported adverse effects and no drilling or preparation of your  teeth. At Pure NZ we offer both In-Office and Home Whitening systems.

Orthodontics/Braces

These are used to help move crooked teeth into the correct position either by using a fixed brace which cannot be removed from your teeth, or the use of removal “clear” aligners that are almost completely invisible. A detailed orthodontic consultation will be carried out initially to ensure that you are suitable for this treatment.

Veneers

These are thin coverings that are cemented onto the surface of your front teeth and can be used to change the appearance of the colour, shape and size of the teeth. They usually require minimal to no drilling, and are becoming ever more popular. They are a good alternative to crowns as they are much less destructive. At Pure NZ Dental, we have digital technology available that will allow us to show you what your new smile will look like before we do any treatment at all!

Tooth bonding/ re-contouring

This is a similar treatment to veneers except we use a resin material to cover minor defects such as chips, or to reshape teeth. This tends to be non-invasive and can be a less expensive option!

At Pure NZ Dental, we pride ourselves on ensuring that any cosmetic treatments we do are only embarked on after a detailed consultation and to minimise adverse effects on your dental health. Sometimes a combination of the procedures listed above may be appropriate; therefore correct planning is essential to secure a good result.
